Description:
Two young boys, Sam and Dean as well as their father, witness their mother's horrifying and supernatural death. The boys are taught how to fight the paranormal as they grow up. Sam is able to leave his past behind somewhat as he goes off to college. His brother Dean however never stopped trying to hunt down evil in the quest to find what killed his mother. Dean shows up at Sam's apartment on campus to recruit him back to the life they were meant to lead. An unfortunate accident pulls in reluctant Sam.

- Dean's car is a '67 Chevy Impala.
- The song played in the car isn't Metallica but AC/DC "You shook me all night long".
- Constance Welch jumped off the bridge in 1981 but the boy's archive research says 1971. Incorrect by 10 years.

The brothers pretend to be official park rangers from out of town in order to help a brother and sister who are searching for their sibling who was taken by a Wendigo.
Trivia: - Episode Gallery
- Dean's fake Park Ranger badge had the name Samuel but he said his name was indeed Dean. Nobody seemed to notice.
- In this episode Sam was reading "The Hero with a Thousand Faces" by Joe Campbell.
- Sam's girlfriend Jessica had a grave stone that read "November 2, 2005" as the day she was killed. That is the exact same date plus 20 years that Sam's mother was killed...
- Wendigo's don't have the ability to speak in human voices. This was a mistake/addition in the episode.
- Blackwater, Colorado (the town in the episode) is fictitious.

Dean stumbles across an interesting and mysterious drowning accident in the newspaper. The boys head out to investigate. Upon doing more research they realize that numerous people have been killed in a local lake and believe it to be infested by an evil spirit.

The episode begins with a girl and her date being terrorized by a Hook Man. Dean and Sam help the girl after the ordeal as well as try to figure out who or what is conjuring this evil spirit in a small Iowa town. The boys try to track down the ghost's burried bones to destroy him but run into problems.

The boys travel to a town where there has been a suspicious death. The boys learn that a local kid, Matt, is VERY interested in bugs and they believe he may be controlling them somehow. The boys do research into the town and learn of an ancient indian curse placed on it. Insects invade the town and the boys try to save a community.

Description:
Sam has mysterious and scary dreams and so he and Dean decide to travel back to their childhood home for the very first time. The heartbreaking memories of their mother are the least of their worries as the current residents, a mother and two kids, have been experiencing similar supernatural events to those in Sam's dreams. Sam and Dean contact a psychic their father knew in order to rid the house of ghosts, but before that happens they must face their demons, both real and imaginary.

Dean looks into a rural town in which couples have been disappearing the same day every year and learns that local farmers are sacrificing them to the God who takes the form of a Scarecrow. While travelling to California, Sam meets a young girl who is actually working with a demon.

Description:
Dean is seriously injured by electrocution while battling a supernatural foe. His heart is permanently damaged and the doctors only give him a few weeks to live. Unwilling to give up on his older brother, Sam tracks down a Faith Healer named "Roy Le Grange" and attempts to save Dean's life. Unbeknownst to the boys, this healer is using dark magic to conjure the Grim Reaper to do his "healing".

Description:
Same has a nightmare/premonition that a man is murdered by it looks like an apparent suicide. Sam manages to convince a reluctant Dean to investigate the issue further. Once the boys arrive at the scene they find no evidence to support any Supernatural involvement. As they are about to leave they learn that the son of the victim has telekinetic abilities and that he may be using them to kill family members that abused him. The boys learn that this boy's mother was killed by the same firey demon that killed their mother.

- When the boys dress up as priests, they use the names "Father Simmons" and "Father Frehley" which are the names of the two founding members of the rock band KISS.

The boys travel to Minnesota where a young boy reports that a man disappeared into thin air. While tracking down leads, Sam is abducted by a seemingly supernatural force. Dean frantically searches for his little brother and eventually learns that they aren't dealing with anything supernatural at all. But rather are human prey in a twisted hunting game.

- In the police database both brothers are listed at 6'4". It is rather obvious that Sam is much taller than Dean.
- Police records show that Dean actually died on March 7, 2006 because of the shapeshifter's body in the episode "Skin".

The boys realize this attack wasn't for them but for their father.
